view of Clew Bay and is dominated by the holy Mountain, Croagh Patrick. The best known hole on this course is the Par 5 fifthteenth which reaches 580 yards (535 metres) and features a long carry from the tee over an inlet of Clew Bay. Designed by the noted golf architect Fred Hawtree, who also designed the new course at St. Andrews.

Christy O'Connor Jnr, Ryder & World cup player, designed this 18 hole course to highlight and preserve the ancient historic features of the Renville peninsula.
The spectacular setting on Galway Bay is distractingly beautiful and cleverly designed mix of holes present a real golfing challenge which demands total concentration.

Ballybunion Co. Kerry
(Old Course)

The old course at ballybunion is world famous and is consistently rated amongst the top ten courses with several in the world. A magnificent course with several holes right on the shore and towering sandhills coming into play on all. One of Ireland's greatest golfing challenges it regularly receives golfing accolades from all over the world.
(The Cashen Course was designed designed by Robert Treant Jones and is every bit as demanding 
(if not more) as the Old Course).

Lahinch (The Old Course)

Lahinch is steeped in history and has such famous holes as the 'Dell'
and the 'Klondyke'. The features of this famous course are carved of
natural terrain. The Old Course is the permanent home of the south of Ireland Open Amateur Championship, first played in 1895 and which annually attracts the cream of Ireland's amateur golfers to play for this most coveted title and the magnificent trophy which goes with it.

This course became affiliated to the Golfing Union of Ireland although it has been in use for some time.
